USDA has awarded $51.9 million to 29 partnership projects in 13 states to help landowners control feral swine and repair damage to farms and ranches.

The funding is part of a $105 million investment in the Feral Swine Eradication and Control Pilot Program. USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service are coordinating the effort.

Projects are located in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

NRCS grants will help partners provide trapping, land restoration and training to landowners, reducing feral swine threats to agriculture, landscapes and human and livestock health. For more information, visit nrcs.usda.gov.
