Eight more processors adopt USA label

Eight additional processors have adopted USDA’s voluntary Product of USA label, bringing participation to more than 30 companies since the agency launched its nationwide campaign earlier this year.

Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins said labeled products are now available in all 50 states, giving shoppers another way to find American meat and poultry.

The newest participants are Mesorah Farms, Pennsylvania; KJ Poultry, New York; Strauss Brands, South Carolina; Legacy Maker Farms, Indiana; Demkota Ranch Beef, South Dakota; Delta Pride Catfish, Mississippi; Eel River Organic Beef, California; and Krogman Home Grown Meats, Illinois.

USDA says the effort helps domestic producers and processors reach shoppers who want to know where their food comes from before buying.
