Steakholder launches 3D-printed meat substitute in US

Steakholder Foods Ltd

Steakholder Foods Ltd. has launched its Perfecta brand in stores across the Northeast, bringing the company’s 3D-printed meat substitutes to U.S. retail shelves.

The products are made using the company’s proprietary production technology, and include substitutes modeled after steak, filet mignon, chicken breast, salmon patties and fish patties. CEO Arik Kaufman said Steakholder Foods plans to reach more stores and expand distribution as demand grows.

For now, the company is focused on familiarizing Northeast shoppers with its products. The company also plans to pursue distribution partnerships to reach stores nationwide.

The announcement did not name participating retailers, list prices or say when sales might expand beyond the Northeast.
