USDA is distributing approximately $1.8 billion in Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) payments to producers and landowners for 2026.

The funding includes Grassland CRP payments, which help ranchers maintain grazing lands and support the Trump administration’s Ranchers First Initiative to strengthen the U.S. cattle industry.

USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) accepted nearly 1 million new acres into Grassland CRP this year, providing rental payments and cost-share assistance to maintain rangeland and pastureland for grazing. Overall enrollment is projected to reach 26.8 million acres in fiscal 2027.
