USDA has accepted 2.2 million acres into the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) for 2026, following offers totaling nearly 2.5 million acres.

Of the nearly 1.5 million acres scheduled to expire this year, more than 982,000 acres were offered for re-enrollment, while producers also submitted applications covering 1.5 million acres of new land. Nebraska, Colorado and South Dakota led the nation in accepted acres for the 2026 enrollment period.
