Superior Livestock Auction Great Plains Classic video auction

Superior Livestock Auction hosted their Great Plains Classic video auction live Feb. 18-19 from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, TX. Cattle producers sold 49,358 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock totaling 435 lots from 26 states for this offering. Strong buyer participation from several bidders throughout the auction resulted in 157 different successful buyers. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through October.

Regions 3/4/5/6 feeder steers were met with strong buyer demand and increases of $5-10 over the last offering. Feeder heifers from the same regions remained steady. Regions 1/2 feeder steers and heifers saw moderate to good interest and remained solid during a strong market. Regions 1/2 steer calves were $10 higher, and heifers were steady with the last auction. Regions 3/4/5/6 steer calves saw the highest advances at $10-20 higher. A robust buyer demand was seen across both auction days.
