Superior Livestock Auction Video Auction

Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live on March 5 from the Superior Livestock Studio in Hudson Oaks, TX. Cattle producers sold 23,432 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock totaling 198 lots from 23 states for this offering. Strong buyer participation from several bidders throughout the auction resulted in 91 different successful buyers. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through October.

Despite intension outside pressures, the March 5 video auction was met with an upwardly trending market report. Regions 3/4/5/6 feeder steers saw strong demand and were rewarded at $6-10 higher. Feeder heifers from the same regions were steady to $2 higher. Regions 1/2 feeder steers were well received at $10 higher. Feeder heifers were only lightly tested but saw steady demand.

Regions 3/4/5/6 steer and heifer calves saw increased buyer participation as much of the middle of the country has received rain. Bred stock was only lightly tested but saw strong demand.
