Mexico’s largest meat exporter, SuKarne, is rumored to be considering a potential sale that could be valued at more than $2 billion.
A Reuters report said the company is working with Rabobank and BBVA on the sale process, according to sources familiar with the matter.
While SuKarne declined to comment on a potential sale, the company told Reuters it “continuously evaluates different alternatives to create greater value and support its long-term growth and expansion.”
SuKarne accounts for nearly 75% of Mexico’s meat exports and has operations on four continents and more than 13 countries.
