McDonald’s USA has announced its largest investment in regenerative agriculture through the Grassland Resilience and Conservation Initiative, a partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service and key suppliers.

Over the course of seven years, more than $200 million will support regenerative grazing, habitat restoration and water and wildlife conservation on approximately 4 million acres across up to 38 states. NFWF will distribute competitive grants to help ranchers adopt practices that improve soil health and biodiversity.

“Feeding the population and stewarding our natural resources can coexist,” said Cesar Piña, McDonald’s North America supply chain chief, highlighting the initiative’s goal to boost supply chain resilience and rancher economic returns.
