The Western advocacy group Western Justice announced the expansion of its multi-state Wildlife Oversight & Land Use Front (WOLF) coalition to renew its call for the delisting of the gray wolf from the Endangered Species Act.
“We don’t have a wolf problem—we have a management problem,” a Western Justice spokesperson said. “The gray wolf has recovered in many regions. It is time to follow the science, honor the original intent of the ESA, and return management to the states.”
The WOLF Coalition comprises ranchers, farmers, Tribal stakeholders, sportsmen and others who live and work in wolf-affected regions. The coalition does not advocate for wolf eradication, but rather, their science-based management.
