USDA announced the launch of a guidance portal that contains guidance documents issued by the department, along with the launch of a new initiative designed to evaluate agricultural technologies.
The USDA Guidance Portal is a searchable, indexed database that contains guidance documents issued by USDA and its agencies that are in effect today. USDA said it may not cite, use or rely on any guidance that is not available through the portal.
The portal can be accessed at usda.gov/guidance.
In addition, USDA announced the creation of the USDA National Proving Grounds Network for AgTech, which is an initiative designed to evaluate ag technologies under real-world farming and ranching conditions. The national research network will validate new and emerging technologies, including digital and artificial intelligence technologies.
The initiative will be led by the Agricultural Research Service with Grand Farm in North Dakota, partnering with land-grant universities.
