Nebraska producers affected by recent wildfires have until Sept. 1 to apply for assistance through the Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund.
The fund has raised more than $2.2 million from more than 2,570 donors across Nebraska, 48 states and five countries. All donated funds will go directly to impacted producers, and Nebraska Cattlemen membership is not required to apply.
Assistance is available for uninsured agriculture-related losses, including fencing, livestock, feed, agricultural structures, veterinary expenses and other recovery costs in areas where fires were reported through the Nebraska Emergency Management Association Watch Center. Completed applications must include supporting documentation.
