Metal fragments prompt pork jerky recall

LSI Inc. is recalling more than 2.2 million pounds of fire-grilled Korean barbecue pork jerky that may contain metal fragments, according to USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The recalled 14.5-oz. and 16-oz. “Golden Island” pouches include establishment number “M279A” and have “best by” dates from Oct. 23, 2025, to Sept. 23, 2026. The product was distributed to Costco and Sam’s Club stores nationwide. FSIS urges consumers to check their pantries, discard the jerky or return it to the retailer.
