The 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans are still under development.
The public comment period on the guidelines closed in mid-February, and the USDA and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are now conducting a review of the Scientific Report of the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee released in 2024. The departments plan to release the final guidelines by the end of the year.
“We are going to make sure the dietary guidelines will reflect the public interest and serve public health, rather than special interests,” HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a statement.
