Reps. David G. Valadao (R-CA-22) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA-19) introduced the Agriculture Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act to aid ag producers affected by natural disasters.

The bill would provide $14 billion to USDA to help producers who suffered losses from natural disasters in 2023.

“Our farmers and ranchers have been getting hammered with severe weather, significant flooding, smoke damage, and steep prices, which have all led to serious setbacks this season,” Panetta said.
