The Bureau of Land Management recently launched a new website called, “Wild Horse and Burro Online Corral,” at www.wildhorsesonline.blm.gov. The idea, according to the agency, is to make wild horse adoption easier. Users can create an account and search using criteria such as price range, age, gender, as well as the location of horses waiting to be adopted. Those interested in purchasing wild horses can also track the status of their applications directly through the website and pay for their purchases in full, all online. All animal bids start at $125. Wild horses and burros can still be adopted or purchased in person at BLM-hosted events across the country or by visiting one of 17 wild horse and burro off-range corrals. — WLJ
