A federal jury returned a criminal indictment charging Clint Clifford Sicking of Muenster, TX, for his role in a $780,000 livestock theft scheme.

From April 2018 to October 2022, Sicking allegedly conspired with William Dalton Edwards of Mount Airy, NC, to defraud livestock markets in North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma and Virginia. The pair purchased cattle from North Carolina sale barns, wrote non-sufficient funds checks, and then resold the cattle in Texas and Oklahoma. Allegedly, more than 900 head of cattle worth more than $780,000 were stolen.

Sickling is charged with conspiracy, which carries a maximum prison term of five years. He is also charged with bank fraud, a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison; one count of theft of livestock, two counts of interstate transportation of stolen livestock and two counts of sale and receipt of stolen livestock, which each carry a maximum of five years in prison.
