Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund, USA (R-CALF) submitted recommendations to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, asking for the repeal of federal regulations and policies that adversely affect agriculture.

The group calls for the repeal of USDA’s electronic identification eartag mandate, as well as import rules that allow fresh beef from certain countries, and confidentiality guidelines for the Livestock Mandatory Reporting Program, among others.

The group said the regulations and policies should be repealed because they are “unnecessary and unduly encumber independent U.S. cattle producers.”
