After decades of serving Northern California’s cattle industry, Orland Livestock Commission Yard is entering a new chapter as ownership transitions from the Lacque family to the Jake Parnell family.
For generations, Orland Livestock Commission Yard has been recognized as one of the region’s premier livestock markets, earning the confidence of cattle producers through dependable service, strong buyer support and a commitment to treating customers with honesty and respect.
The Lacque family has played an instrumental role in building that reputation, establishing a market known not only for competitive cattle marketing but also for the relationships developed with consignors, buyers and the surrounding agricultural community.
“After 74 years of operating Orland Livestock, selling countless cattle and creating countless friendships, we are happy to have found a buyer who has the same values as our family,” Wade Lacque said. “We have always strived to be fair and honest with our buyers and sellers. I am excited to train our new manager, Kyler Radelfinger, over the next year and to watch as the Parnell family continues with the excellent service you’ve been used to. This is not a farewell for our family, just a change of pace. Thank you all for your support over the years.”
For Jake Parnell and his family, accepting the responsibility of carrying that legacy forward is both an honor and a commitment.
