The Producer Partnership has completed processing more than 100 uncontained pigs captured in Phillips County, MT, converting a public and agricultural concern into food assistance for Montana communities.
The animals were processed at the organization’s USDA-inspected facility, resulting in 12,160 pounds of donated pork delivered to the Montana Food Bank Network. Founder and President Matt Pierson said the effort reflects neighbors working together to provide safe, high-quality local protein to families facing food insecurity across the state.
