Employees at National Beef’s Dodge City, KS, beef plant approved a new collective bargaining agreement in early September.
The new agreement covers more than 2,500 United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 2 members. Workers in the processing, fabrication, shipping and maintenance departments approved the five-year contract earlier this summer, the union said.
The agreement includes wage increases, ratification bonuses, more comprehensive health insurance coverage, increased vacation and bereavement, a walking steward position and contributions to the education, safety and cultural fund.
