Beginning in March 2025, the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF), through its Rural Veterinarian Loan Repayment Incentive Program, will award up to $25,000 in loan repayment incentives to four veterinarians practicing in Iowa.
Preference will be given to applicants with Iowa ties, large animal or shortage-area expertise, leadership and a commitment to rural communities. IFBF was instrumental in the 2020 passage of a law creating the state’s Rural Iowa Veterinarian Loan Repayment Program, which has seen growing demand.
