The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) case against Cody Easterday has been stayed once again.
Judge Stanley A. Bastian of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington granted Easterday’s request to stay the proceedings until Oct. 11.
The case has been continued on three prior unopposed motions to allow the Easterday bankruptcy case to proceed to completion, court documents said. Now that the bankruptcy case has been resolved, the remaining issue is the completion of Easterday’s sentencing hearing on Sept. 19.
“The parties believe that the completion of the sentencing likely will resolve certain issues that have arisen during settlement negotiations,” the documents read.
