Halter has partnered with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Foundation for America’s Public Lands to support virtual fencing on BLM-managed grazing lands.
The partnership provides $2.7 million to help ranchers adopt Halter’s virtual fencing system for managing cattle and grazing areas. Cotoni-Coast Dairies in California is the first ranch to receive support through the program.
Paige and Wayne Pastorino of Cotoni-Coast Dairies graze cattle on BLM-managed land in Santa Cruz County that is becoming a new national monument. The site is expected to receive 250,000 visitors annually, requiring grazing operations and public recreation to share access to the property.
