Greater Omaha Packing, a U.S. beef supplier, has completed the acquisition of Heartland Proteins, a purchaser and distributor of meat and bone meal for the feed industry.

Keith Fulton, owner of Heartland Proteins, began operations in 2018 with its blending plant in Omaha, NE. Progressive Protein, the wholly owned rendering operation of Greater Omaha Packing, is the primary supplier for Heartland Proteins. Greater Omaha Packing said the strategic acquisition is expected to enhance its capabilities significantly, enabling the company to better cater to a broader customer base for bovine-originated products.

“Greater Omaha Packing looks to integrate Heartland Proteins expertise, fostering growth in the bovine product market and expanding its presence,” the company said.
