A New Jersey business has recalled almost 43,000 lbs. of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli.
The products were produced on June 1 and the recall was issued June 13. The products were packages of Thomas Farms and Marketside Butcher grass-fed ground beef and patties.
There have been no confirmed adverse reactions, but those concerned about potential illness should contact a health care provider. Symptoms of E. coli illness often become apparent three to four days after exposure, on average.
Consumers who have purchased any of these products are urged to return or dispose of them. As a reminder, all ground beef should be cooked to 160 F to kill harmful bacteria.
