Beef Bits Brief: Beef: protein of golf champions

The South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) partnered up with the Sanford International PGA Tour of Champions for the second year, making beef the official protein of the event.

“This unique partnership allows us to showcase and educate our guests about beef, a major economic driver in South Dakota.

We are proud to work alongside the South Dakota Beef Industry Council in the promotion of beef as the official protein of the tournament,” said Greg Conrad, Tournament Director/Pro Links Sports.

Beef will be premiered at the tournament, with areas to learn beef’s story from pasture to plate.

This year will also include a beef expo tent with a restaurant centered around the protein.

The golf tournament plans to host several thousand attendees. “This is an exciting opportunity for the beef community to tell its story, engage with consumers, and expand on the national “Rethink the Ranch” and “Strength” campaigns,” said SDBIC Executive Director Suzy Geppert.

“It offers opportunity to build on our consumer base and answer questions about modern beef production.”
