North Dakota State University (NDSU) named Dr. Greg Lardy the next vice president for Agricultural Affairs in mid-December.
The position means Lardy will wear a number of hats, including dean of the College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources; director of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station; and director of NDSU Extension.
According to the announcement, Lardy has been serving as acting director of the Experiment Station since August 2018 and also has been interim director of NDSU Extension since July 2018.
“Dr. Lardy has an impressive record of leadership and advancement in his career and has earned the respect of the many key stakeholder groups,” said NDSU President Dean Bresciani in the announcement.
In addition to naming Lardy the new vice president, several NDSU Extension staff received awards at the annual Extension and support staff awards ceremony held Dec. 12.
Award winners include: (Research awards) Zhaohui Liu and Senay Simsek; (teaching/advising awards) Lisa Christenson, Thomas DeSutter, Stacey Ostby, and Esther McGinnis; and (Extension/staff awards) Greg Endres, Wanda Keller, Niki Lynnes, and Christie Erickson.
