Argentina’s beef exports reached a 57-year high in the first nine months of this year, Reuters reports, with shipments growing to the U.S. and Chile.

Official data shows nearly 700,000 metric tons of beef were exported from January to September, with China purchasing almost 70% of this volume. Following China, the European Union and Israel were the next largest buyers.

Argentina’s beef exports span 48 countries, with notable increases in shipments to the U.S. by 46%, Chile by 21% and Israel by 11% compared to last year.
