Lance Pekus, also known as the Cowboy Ninja competed Sept. 4 in Stage 1 of the American Ninja Warrior finals. The rancher from Salmon, ID finished with the fastest time of the night and advances to Stage 2 of the finals which airs Sept. 18 on NBC. The Idaho Beef Council is one of Pekus’ primary sponsors and he can often be seen wearing a shirt proclaiming, “Real ninjas eat beef.” He and the other contestants are chasing a $1 million prize.
