The University of California (UC), Davis School of Veterinary Medicine unveiled an enhanced Disease BioPortal, a tool to support veterinarians, producers and diagnostic labs in making faster, data-driven health and biosecurity decisions.
Developed by the Center for Animal Disease Modeling and Surveillance under Dr. Beatriz Martínez-López, the platform integrates diagnostic and field data from multiple sources. It features real-time maps, dashboards and predictive modeling to detect outbreaks sooner, reduce response times and strengthen herd management. The upgraded system allows users to identify disease trends early and protect animal health more effectively.
