The eighth annual Beef ‘N Brew event in Red Bluff, CA, was a success with Tehama County CattleWomen promoting and serving beef during the event. This year more than 20 businesses served well over 2,000 pounds of beef. One innovator even served a marshmallow drizzled in chocolate because marshmallows are a byproduct of beef. Organized by the Tehama County CattleWomen in conjunction with the Downtown Red Bluff Business Association, proceeds go toward beef promotion, including Ag in the Classroom, the Tehama County Beef Ambassadors and scholarships. “We had no idea it’d be so successful that first year, but after the first few years we knew we had a success,” said Tehama County CattleWoman and event Co-Chairwoman Cathy Tobin. “It always does well and the crowd seems to enjoy themselves. We draw people from all over and even out of county. Last year we had some people from Mariposa County and some from Oregon.” In addition attendees had the chance to vote on their favorite beef appetizers.
