Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live on Nov. 2 from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, TX.
Cattle producers offered 26,370 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock from 21 states for this auction. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through June 2024. A favorable bullish report from the stock market balanced with a price increase in commodities produced a steady market report.
Region 3/4/5/6 feeder steers saw aggressive buyer demand at steady to $3 higher. Feeder heifers from the same regions also saw a good demand at steady to $4 lower. Program feeder steers and heifers were well received with premiums of $15-20 higher. Region 1 & 2 feeder steers and heifers were only lightly tested but saw good demand.
Beef-dairy crosses were met with a very strong demand from a wide range of buyers. Region 3/4/5/6 weaned calves were in strong demand on lighter weights and calves on cows were especially evident in a strong Florida offering. There were still buyer reservations seen in the bred stock demand.
