An employee at National Beef Packing Co. in Liberal, KS, died from a plant accident in late January.
The employee was transported to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal and was later pronounced dead.
“Our primary concern is for the wellbeing of this employee’s family and the safety of our team members in Liberal,” National Beef said in its release. “We have grief counselors available to team members and are focused on their immediate needs. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.”
National Beef is working with authorities in an investigation and has not released the name of the employee or any further details.
