American Foods Group has announced its proposed beef processing plant in Warren County, MO, will break ground in August.
The company has secured final backing and will build a $450 million plant with the ability to process 2,400 head a day.
“Consumer demand for beef is growing, and we are investing in this project to fill an industry need for additional hook space while meeting the needs of our partners, customers, and consumers,” said Steven Van Lannen, American Foods Group president and chief operating officer, in a statement, according to a Drovers report.
