Story Short: Cattlemen’s Heritage to build IA plant

Cattlemen's Beef Company

The Cattlemen’s Heritage Beef Company announced plans to build a 2,000-head-per-day fully sustainable beef processing facility in Mills County, IA.

The $520 million plant will begin construction in spring 2023 and, when completed, will bring $1.1 billion yearly to the economy and 800 jobs.

“Cattlemen’s Heritage will fill a critical gap in the beef supply deficit and help meet the expanding demand of consumers, producers and retailers,” said Chad Tentinger, fourth-generation cattle feeder and principal developer. “The Cattlemen’s Heritage facility will go a long way to resolving that ongoing challenge and delivering more quality beef from Midwest family farms to consumers.”
