Five cases of African swine fever (ASF) were confirmed in wild boars in the eastern German state of Brandenburg last week, bringing the total to six.
The latest cases were found in dead boars, not farmed animals, close to the location of the first confirmed case of ASF found earlier this month.
Japan is the latest country to ban pork importation from Germany after China and South Korea stopped imports following confirmation of the initial case.
Germany has launched measures to keep wild boars out of the area, including the use of drones, sniffer dogs and a fence in Brandenberg along the border with Poland.
