Steak-scented candles sell out

A.1. Steak Sauce introduced special scented candles in a promotion ahead of Father’s Day. The candles, available in three scents—Backyard BBQ, Original Meat, and Classic Burger—sold for $14.99 each and the limited supply was quickly depleted. The company website noted, “We may have run out of candles, but who knows, they might even return in time for that other special, ‘saucesome’ occasion!” One man’s comment on the company’s Facebook page took the opportunity to take what appeared to be a good-hearted jab at his vegan friends, saying “Now, I’ve seen it all. Guess what all of my vegan friends are getting for Christmas? LOL.” Consumers can join the effort to bring back the candles on the company’s website at www.a1meatscents.com. — WLJ
