Residents of the Adora Trails neighborhood in Gilbert, AZ, have long dealt with free-roaming cattle, but the issue has worsened in the past six months, according to local news outlet KTVK/KPHO.

Cattle are present throughout the day, damaging landscaping, pulling irrigation systems and acting aggressively. Concerns over public safety have grown, with reports of car and motorcycle accidents involving the cattle. While the Gilbert Town Council explores solutions, open range laws and the cattle owner’s sovereign status limit enforcement.

The Home Ownership Association has approved fencing, but residents continue pushing for a more permanent resolution.
