Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund, USA (R-CALF) on Aug. 18 launched its “Label Our Beef” campaign to push for the reinstatement of mandatory country-of-origin labeling (MCOOL).

“American families have the right to know where their beef comes from, and American ranchers deserve a fair marketplace,” said R-CALF USA Marketing Director Jaiden Moreland.

The campaign intends to unite ranchers and consumers for fair markets and food labels. For more information, visit labelourbeef.com.

We have the right to know the country of origin. The industry has the responsibility to be sure it is on the label. I refuse to buy beef without the country of origin listed on the label. I refuse meets that are not from the US of a . Please find a way to push this need through. Thank you

Need to know everything about what we are putting in our bodies these days where the meats from what other ingredients are in it. If it's been mixed with 16 different other cows, we need to take our rightful place and making sure our food is right

Consumers deserve to know where their meat comes from. All meat products should be labeled where it was raised and where it was processed.

I also have the right to know if the beef has been tainted with hormones, antibiotics or dna altering injections. Not just what I buy in a grocery store, but what I buy at a restaurant or food service at hospitals, schools, or ANYWHERE.

I also want to know what additives are included and if it is printed. You almost can't trust it is from a cow anymore.
