The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) and North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation (NDSF) distributed $939,702 to cattle ranchers and landowners affected by the October wildfires.

NDSA President Randy Schmitt acknowledged the widespread devastation, which affected homes, livestock and communities. Generosity poured in from across the country, said NDSF President Jason Leiseth.

Donations ranged from small community fundraisers to large corporate contributions, helping the Out of the Ashes Wildfire Disaster Relief Fund, making it the largest disaster relief effort in NDSA and NDSF’s 17-year partnership.
