Dear Mr. Crow:
On behalf of Colorado State University Libraries, it is my pleasure to thank you for donating the world’s most comprehensive collection of the Western Livestock Journal to the Colorado Agricultural Archive. As a journal dedicated to providing political, technological and marketing information crucial to the livestock industry, the Western Livestock Journal will make an invaluable addition to the Colorado Agricultural Archive and our ability to provide students, faculty, scholars, historians, the general public, and industry professionals with access to historically significant materials.
The Colorado Agricultural Archive exists to preserve and promote an understanding of Colorado’s rich agrarian heritage by making crucial documents available for public study. At the same time, these documents receive the utmost care from our archival staff and are available for research use under controlled conditions.
To address both our objectives of preserving and promoting archived materials, we will create a Web page dedicated to the Western Livestock Journal with links to holdings in our library catalogue. In looking toward the future, our goal will be to create subsequent displays and online exhibits for greater access to the collection by remote users from around the globe.
Your gift to the Colorado State University Libraries benefits the campus, the Front Range community and users throughout the nation and world who will access these important documents. Thank you again for choosing the Libraries to preserve the Western Livestock Journal. Thank you for your generosity.
Sincerely,
Catherine Murray-Rust
Dean of Libraries
