As of Feb. 19, the U.S. is officially back in the Paris climate agreement.
President Joe Biden issued an executive order on his first day in office to rejoin the 2015 Paris Agreement after former President Donald Trump withdrew the country last year.
Out of the 197 countries to sign the pact in 2015, the U.S. has been the first and only country to withdraw. As part of Biden’s comprehensive climate plan, he has set a goal to achieve net-zero U.S. emissions by 2050.
In addition to rejoining the climate pact, Biden has signed over a dozen climate-related executive orders.
