Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen is warning Montana producers of cattle feed scams, one of which includes a Canadian company stealing up to $5 million from Montanans by receiving payment but never delivering feed.
New Way Ag promised grain hay, barley straw and wheat straw at low prices and then never delivered any feed to customers who paid. There is currently an ongoing investigation into the company’s dealings, and those who submitted payment should contact the Montana Office of Consumer Protection at 406-444-4500.
“Montana ranchers are facing headwinds as it is without being scammed by crooks looking to make a quick buck,” Knudsen said. “Please report any suspected scams to our office so we can hold these criminals accountable.”
