Investigators are looking into one of the biggest cattle thefts in recent history in Crawford County, KS.

Rich Wood of Wood Farms says between 10 p.m. Sept. 23 and 9 a.m. Sept. 24, 30 head of cattle were stolen from his farm west of Pittsburg, KS. Commenting on Facebook, Wood Farms posted, “Frustrating day for Wood Farms.”

They went on to say the cattle are tagged with a yellow ear tag on the left and a blue/purple fly tag on the right. The theft is being investigated by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Attorney General’s Office.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at 620-724-8274.
