Doug Ramsey, Beyond Meat chief operating officer, was arrested and charged with third-degree battery after an altercation at a college football game, which allegedly led to him biting a man’s nose.
According to a police report, on Sept. 17, Ramsey attended a University of Arkansas football game in Fayetteville, AR, and became angered when another driver hit his front passenger wheel in a parking garage.
The report says Ramsey exited his vehicle and smashed his fist through the windshield of the other driver’s car. The other man got out of the car, and the police say Ramsey began punching him and also bit his nose, ripping the flesh. Witnesses say Ramsey also threatened to kill the other man.
Ramsey was released Sunday on an $11,085 bond and will appear in court on Oct. 19. Beyond Meat issued a statement on Sept. 20 and said Ramsey was suspended, effective immediately.
