USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is updating its regulations for the accredited veterinarian program in order to clarify program definitions.
The changes will reflect consistency in regulation terminology, as well as an accurate list of all programs covered under the Animal Health Protection Act.
A proposal was posted in the Federal Register March 8, 2019 and comments were taken until May 7, 2019.
A total of five comments were received.
