The International House of Pancakes, best known as IHOP, has changed its name—at least for the time being—to IHOb to reflect the introduction of its new line of burgers. The change celebrates the debut of the brand’s new Ultimate Steakburgers, a line-up of seven all-natural burgers. Each burger starts with 100 percent USDA Choice Black Angus ground beef that is smashed on the grill to sear in the juices and flavor before being topped with premium ingredients. The move prompted some social media jabs from traditional burger joints, with Wendy’s tweeting, “Not really afraid of the burgers from a place that decided pancakes were too hard.” It also wrote, “Remember when you were like 7 and thought changing your name to Thunder BearSword would be super cool? Like that, but our cheeseburgers are still better.” Not falling into the Twitter insult war, IHOb responded, “We don’t want any beef with you. We just want to share our beef with the world.” — WLJ
