Idaho beef recalled over E. coli

Mountain West Food Group LLC is recalling about 2,855 pounds of raw ground beef that may be contaminated with E. coli O26, according to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The product was produced Dec. 16, 2025, and includes 16-ounce vacuum-sealed packages labeled “Forward Farms grass-fed ground beef” with a use-or-freeze-by date of Jan. 13, 2026, and establishment number EST 2083. The beef was shipped to distributors in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Pennsylvania and Washington.

No illnesses have been confirmed. Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to discard it or return it to the place of purchase.
