The Idaho Beef Council (IBC) announced T.K. Kuwahara has been hired as the executive director as of Nov. 1, 2017. IBC said in a press release that she has a documented track record of developing and implementing successful world-wide marketing strategies resulting in revenue growth and market expansion for U.S. potatoes during her 17-year tenure with Potatoes USA, the national potato check-off board based in Denver, CO. “Her experience providing strategic marketing planning, implementation and oversight of a complex, technical, multi-product, multi-channel, domestic and international program will be highly valuable for the Idaho Beef Council,” the release said. Understanding the importance of agriculture feeds her passion for food and she enjoys finding innovative ways to utilize food products in new menu items and sales channels. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Institute of Food Technologists-Intermountain Section, an organization bringing food professionals together to build and strengthen relationships, as well as providing education for the future.
